RECRUITMENT/MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships for First-Year Students
SDSU offers a limited number of scholarships each year to qualified first-year students on top of our already very affordable tuition. Programs include:
Merit Scholarships
The SDSU Merit Scholarship, SDSU’s most prestigious scholarship, is awarded to a select
number of the most academically-qualified students who graduate from a local SDSU
admissions-area high school and achieve a minimum 4.00 high school GPA. The scholarship
application is available by invitation-only and qualified first-year applicants are
notified in December and January if they are eligible for consideration. Awards amounts
are typically $7,500 - $10,000 per year.
Non-Resident Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are offered to non-California resident students.
Awards are very competitive and based on academic merit. Amounts will vary. Students
are automatically considered for scholarships when they apply for admission.
Presidential Scholars Program
Students accepted to our Presidential Scholars program may be eligible for a scholarship
worth up to $40,000 over four years. The scholarship application is available by invitation-only
and qualified first-year applicants are notified in December and January if they are
eligible for consideration.
Weber Honors College Scholarship
The Weber Honors College awards a limited number of scholarships each year to students
who apply by the priority consideration deadline and are accepted into the fall cohort
of the Weber Honors College. Awards amounts are typically $1,000 - $7,500 per year.
