Estimating Your Financial Aid
In addition to Cost of Attendance and Student Aid Index, the eligibility calculation takes into account that you may have other sources of money to use toward your education such as scholarships.
Other financial assistance / other resources
Contact the Financial Aid Office for any assistance you anticipate receiving such as:
- Outside scholarships
- Private education loans (alternative loans)
- A fellowship
- A stipend
- A research or teaching assistantship
Do your research
Estimate how much grant funding you may be eligible to receive when you attend SDSU. Remember that your actual award will be based on funds that are available after you submit all documentation requested by SDSU.
Go to SDSU's Net Price and Cost Calculator and complete the online form. Based on your answers, you will be able to estimate how much grant you may be eligible to receive if you attend SDSU assuming you are a first-time undergraduate student attending full time. You and your family would be responsible for paying remaining costs not covered by grants with student and/or parent loans, savings, etc.
- Important Note: Using this online calculator is not an application for, nor an offer of, financial aid.
