REGISTRATION REMINDER
The basic fees for each career fair include registration and lunch for two (2) representatives  from your organization.

Additional representatives may be added for $35/per person, up to (2) additional reps. For more than (4) attending representatives, an additional table can be purchased for the standard registration price.

No refunds issued after payment or cancellation deadline.

Student Population Statement

SHIPPING

If you plan to ship career fair materials to our office, we ask that you arrange for them to arrive no sooner than two weeks prior to the fair as storage space is limited. Career Services will deliver all shipped items to your table on the morning of the fair. Please use the address below and include the following items:

  •      The name of the fair which the materials are for
  •      The complete ZIP+4 code (92182-8255)
  •      Your organization's name printed visibly on the package Career Services

If you plan to ship materials AFTER the fair, YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:

  •  Return the materials to Career Services with a completed, pre-paid shipping label (including estimated item weight) attached. Notify any Career Services staff member if you require assistance.
  • Schedule the pickup with your carrier—Career Services is located at the shipping address above in Student Services East 1200 (SSE 1200). We are open M-F from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and can make packages available for pickup in the lobby during business hours.

Career Services does not have shipping labels available, and cannot schedule pickup for you as a third party.

 

Drop-Off, Driving & Parking Directions


DROP-OFF/PARKING:

  • From East/Westbound Interstate 8, exit College Ave. and head south toward campus
  • Turn right immediately after the third overhead pedestrian bridge. This is Aztec Circle Drive; there will be a sign indicating Career Fair Drop Off
  • You will reach the drop off location at a turn-around spot on your left and will see volunteers and staff to assist you. Drop off your materials to have them delivered to your table
  •  Return to Aztec Circle Drive and make a right turn onto College Avenue (south)
  • Turn left on Montezuma Road
  • Turn left on E. Campus Drive
  • Parking Structure 3 will be the second structure on your right, park on level 6

NO DROP-OFF:

  • From East/Westbound Interstate 8, exit College Ave. and head south toward campus
  • Turn left after the second pedestrian bridge onto Zura Way
  • Turn right on E. Campus Drive
  •  Parking Structure 3 will be on your left, park on Level 6 (Top floor)

PICK UP FROM DROP OFF ZONE AFTER FAIR

  • When you leave Parking Structure 3, exit at level 2, turn right on E. Campus Dr. then left on Zura Way
  • Turn right to head downhill (north) on College Ave. Make a U-turn at Canyon Crest Drive (first available)
  • Go up the hill and turn right immediately after the third overhead pedestrian bridge onto Aztec Circle Drive to return to the drop-off/pick-up zone

CITATIONS

Employers are responsible for reading the parking instructions provided for each fair (available at the top of this page and in the confirmation letter) and parking in the designated zone. Employers who fail to comply with the parking instructions are liable to be cited and are responsible for submitting their own appeal directly to the Parking Services office (link below). Career Services cannot provide any assistance on behalf of employers who receive a citation on the day of a career fair.

CHECK-IN

Check-in begins at 9 AM in Montezuma Hall. RECRUITERS MUST CHECK IN at the Career Services Recruiter Check-In Table at each fair to receive their table location and lunch tickets.

TABLE & DISPLAY AREA

Each registered organization (aside from our sponsors) will be provided one 6 foot table and two chairs. Electrical connections are not available, unless previously requested.

Table cloths are available on a first come first serve basis or by request.

A sign identifying your organization will be provided. Additional displays are welcome so long as they do not obstruct walkways or other exhibitors. In general, we ask that displays are limited to materials that fit on or directly behind your table.

MEALS
Each registered attendee will receive a continental breakfast and a boxed lunch. Representatives requiring a vegetarian lunch are asked to note so on their career fair registration forms. Water is available as supplies allow.

Things to Bring

  • Business cards or employer career site information
  • Materials describing opportunities with your organization
  • Sign listing what majors and what types of candidates you are seeking
  • Information announcing any scheduled information session(s) and/or recruiting date(s) at SDSU
  • Promotional items to be distributed to students (optional)
  • Bottled water

Tips for Success

  •  Arrive one hour prior to the fair — check-in opens at 9 AM.
  • Brand your space with table cloths, image displays, and giveaways to attract the most student interest.
  • Try to make your display communicate visibly what your company does—even if your company is relatively well known, students might not be familiar with the work you do.
  • Have a sign listing the majors you are interested in, even if you seek all majors.
  • Bring recruiters who are SDSU alumni, if possible—it’s a great selling point when current students see a former Aztec achieving in your company.
  • Ask students about their peers that may be interested in your organization.
  • Take turns eating lunch—you’ll be able to relax knowing your table is still staffed.
