Diversity Career Conference (DCC)

Students:

This free event invites SDSU students to discover how identity and cultural influences lead to empowered career decision-making. The conference includes workshops, panels and networking with companies such as Apple, Cintas, Tandem Diabetes and City Year. Join us and become empowered by the learning and connections at the DCC!

Employers:

Support our efforts to provide spaces where SDSU students explore connections between career, identity, and community. The conference will provide a unique opportunity for employers to increase their knowledge of the diverse community of students at SDSU and recruit from SDSU’s diverse student population in an intimate & informal setting.

• Marketing Your Value: Landing the Career That Fits Your Queer | Come learn tips and tricks to research LGBTQIA+ policies & workplaces, and help find a career that aligns with your passion!
• Leveraging Your Cultural Wealth for the Career Readiness Journey | Do you engage in community building? Are you inspired by storytelling? Is family an important value to you? These are all part of the career readiness experience as teamwork, communication and networking are grounded in these cultural values. In this interactive workshop, you will discover how cultural and community assets are powerful facilitators of career development.
• You and Your Work Culture: What's the Right Fit? | Looking for a job or internship can be stressful, especially if the first offer you accept doesn't turn out as expected. Come learn how your own cultural strengths can and should be considered when looking for a career that is the right fit for you!
