Outreach Student Advisory Board (OSAB)

The Outreach Student Advisory Board is a group of student leaders affiliated with our center who participate in weekly discussions with department staff. Although there are a select group of students who have committed to joining these meetings on a weekly basis, all student leaders affiliated with the center are invited to join the weekly meetings. There are several purposes to these gatherings:

  • To include student voices in decision making discussions in our center’s programs.
  • To invite student leaders to share concerns or questions about department practices.
  • To build relationships and community among students, participants and staff.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Outreach Student Advisory Board is a student driven committee that works to create collaboration, unity and growth across programs in the Center for Educational Partnerships, Outreach and Success. Our mission is to advocate for student involvement through professional and social opportunities. We provide an open space for student voice and self expression to promote camaraderie and establish connections beyond our SDSU community.

VISION

Our vision is to empower students to be agents of change in any community by being role models in growth and self exploration. We strive to motivate, encourage and support students through community support.
