Smoking Cessation
Since January 2014, SDSU has been a smoke-free campus. The policy helps the entire university community to breathe easier.
- A smoke-free campus encourages tobacco users to quit or decrease use – and supports those who have already quit using tobacco.
- Smoke-free campus policies also protect the health and safety of nonsmokers by eliminating secondhand smoke on campus.
SDSU is a smoke-free campus
SDSU is a completely smoke-free campus. Smoking is not permitted in or outside any buildings, including Viejas arena and auxiliary buildings, or in parking areas. Read the smoke-free policy.
