Sales and Marketing: Internship Program

SDSU Lavin Entrepreneurship Center

Wage: $15/hour

Deadline: July 31, 4 p.m. PDT

Description: The Internship Program Coordinator will lead marketing campaigns and work with local business owners and entrepreneurs to connect them to talented SDSU interns. Job duties include:

  • Work with the Lavin team to create marketing materials and utilize Salesforce and Vertical Response to attract new and existing clients and students.
  • Work alongside faculty and academic staff to promote internship to students.
  • Consult with entrepreneurs and business owners to obtain internship job descriptions.
  • Vet student candidates to match them to the appropriate internship roles.
  • Maintain and track hours of all incoming interns and intern companies.
  • Update internship manual and promotional materials.

Qualifications:

  • Undergrad Senior or First-year MBA student (graduation date of May 2022)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce a plus
  • Any type of sales experience a plus
  • Looking for self-starters who enjoy the freedom and accountability

Student Assistant - Web Services & Infrastructure

SDSU Information Technology Division

Wage: $15/hour

Description: The Web Services and Infrastructure (WSI) group of the Information Technology Division at SDSU is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and management of Web Services for San Diego State University. This position will play a key role in serving as an institutional leader in the planning, implementation, and ongoing improvement of web communications systems and processes developed by Web & Digital Communications.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will build new web pages, forms, and menus; update content at the request of users; and provide technical support to users of the university's OU Campus content management system. Some design work may be needed to set up new pages in alignment with university branding guidelines:

  • Monitors and addresses support tickets for web changes received through the campus help desk system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with the WSI team.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical customers.
  • Implements responsive front-end layouts with modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure that the University's websites meet web content accessibility guidelines, usability standards and performance requirements.

Qualifications:

Description: The University Police Department offers currently employed Community Service Officers the opportunity to volunteer to participate in the CSO Academy. CSOs who wish to take advantage of this opportunity learn about law enforcement first-hand from police officers and professional staff. Students are exposed to a variety of learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Conduct regular inspections of all university property, particularly parking areas, grounds and buildings
  • Operate SDSU's Red and Black Shuttle
  • Enforce parking and permit regulations
  • Lock/unlock university buildings/facilities
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions and/or criminal violations
  • Provide security services for campus organizations and/or functions
