Rashmi C. Praba
Associate Vice President for Finance & Operations
Rashmi C. Praba serves as associate vice president for Student Affairs and Campus
Diversity. Since 2001, Praba has held progressively responsible programmatic, budget,
human resources and management roles in the College of Sciences, Enrollment Management,
Division of Student Affairs and Division of University Relations and Development at
San Diego State University. Praba returned to Student Affairs in 2019 to join the
senior leadership team as associate vice president.
Prior to her return, Praba served on the University Relations and Development senior leadership team as the director of Employee Development. In this role, Praba had oversight and responsibility for building a world-class development organization by attracting top talent, ensuring employee engagement and development as URAD professionals and retaining exceptional employees in support of URAD’s strategic objectives.
In her previous Student Affairs leadership position, Praba served as the director for Resource Management. With operational oversight for financial, human resources and facilities management for the division, Praba was responsible for the planning, analysis, forecasting and strategic management of all divisional resources.
Current position responsibilities include strategic and operational oversight for several departments within Student Affairs and Campus Diversity. Praba’s portfolio includes Communications ServicesECRT/Basic Needs, Financial Aid Office, Resource Management, Scholarships Office,and Cal Coast Student Financial Center.
Praba holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in public administration.
