Graduate Student Diversity
We want to welcome you to the Spring 2021 semester with some exciting news and an invitation to share your voice.
Over the last two years, beginning with the arrival of President de la Torre and the subsequent strategic planning process, SDSU prioritized both increasing the diversity of our graduate student body as well as creating an inclusive and supportive environment for our current students. That means YOU!
To make our intentions a reality, your voice is critical. That’s why we are launching the Listen, Learn, and Lean-in Campaign in order to gain a clear picture of our graduate students’ experiences and needs.
We are ready to listen:
Please take a few minutes to voice your insights and feedback through a brief anonymous survey. This information will help us develop the resources you need today and future students will need tomorrow.
Listening sessions will continue to be available for those students who are interested in sharing their experiences through facilitated conversations or focus groups in a safe and confidential platform. If you want to be included, you can share your intention through the survey.
Next, We Learn:
Your input will help us design and deploy training and educational opportunities for key leaders, faculty, and advisors on the foundational skills needed to support the academic, professional, and personal success of their graduate students.
Then, We Lean-in:
During this stage, we will further develop and implement additional resources and programming tailored to address SDSU graduate students’ needs.
Once again—your voice is critical to creating meaningful change. Thank you in advance for partnering with us to make it happen.
Looking forward to supporting your success in 2021,
Feion Villodas. Ph.D. MPH
