SDSU Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) ERG
Mission:
As members of the SDSU Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) ERG, we seek to establish a dynamic and powerful presence at the university by increasing our visibility and our voice. To that end, we aim to create a supportive community in which we dialogue and engage about issues of identity, perspective, power, and privilege so that we can build a diverse, inclusive, engaging, intellectual, and social learning environment for all.

APIDA ERG Solidarity Statement:
SDSU Asian Pacific Islander Desi American employee Resource Group (APIDA ERG) stands in solidarity with SDSU Andres Bonifacio Samahan, SDSU Bayanihan Filipino American Faculty and Staff Association and SDSU Division of Diversity and Innovation to denounce all acts of intolerance, hate, and discrimination. We want all of our community members, especially those students directly impacted by the recent racist and anti-Asian "zoom-bombing" incident, to know that we care about you and support you. In love and resilience, together, as a community, we will overcome such disheartening and hurtful acts. When one of us hurts, we all hurt. But, we're stronger together and we shall rise.
APIDA Center Solidarity Statement:
SDSU Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Resource Center denounces all acts
of intolerance, hate, and discrimination. We urge all persons to stand in solidarity
with the APIDA community against racist sentiments. We want all of our community members,
especially those who identify as APIDA, to know that we see you, care about you, and
support you. We will rise above the racist zoombombing of an AB Samahan meeting on
April 10, 2020. We will rise above the anti-Asian sentiment caused by local, national,
and global conversations concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. We will act with care and
compassion for those impacted by COVID-19. We will be kinder, braver, and stronger
for those who feel targeted and vulnerable. We will work together to create a safe,
supportive space. All are welcome here. #RISEwithAPIDA
