Gospel Fest will now be held at Viejas Arena instead of Campus Lot 13.
Get ready for Prayze on the Yard, an extension of CSU Super Sunday hosted by San Diego State University! Get connected to SDSU's learning community and learn more about higher education at this event featuring food, vendors and free gospel music. Don't miss out on performances by Jason McGee & The Choir, as well as a selection of praise teams, talented choirs and dancers from throughout San Diego.
SDSU Gospel Fest, which was held for the first time in 2019, brings leaders from the faith-based community together with SDSU leaders with the goals of encouraging K-12 students to pursue higher education and of highlighting the California State University system’s Graduation Initiative 2025, designed to eliminate achievement gaps. Other CSU universities also partner with faith leaders on events that emphasize partnerships and the importance of higher education.

Interested in being a performer or vendor?
We are excited to have Praise and Worship on the Yard at San Diego State University on April 14 from 3-6 p.m. as a result of funding provided by the California State University System/Chancellor's Office. This is always a successful and fun event and this year we are praising and worshiping outdoors to bring festival vibes! We will have gospel performers, food vendors, and business vendors. We welcome performers (choirs, soloists, praise dancers, musicians to share their talent/gift at the event)! Our headline performer will be Jason McGee and The Choir.
Please RSVP as a performer.
- Choirs can perform up to two songs (no more than 10 minute total)
- Dancers can perform one dance (no more than 5 minutes)
- Soloists/ Musicians can perform one song (no more than 5 minutes)
- We will have a sound check on the day of the event. More details to come soon regarding sound check and line up.

Space is limited so please RSVP as soon as possible. We will close the invitation once we have reached the maximum number of performers for this event. SDSU has the right to refuse and/or decline performers.

- Vendor Information:
We would like vendors to arrive between noon-1 p.m. to set up so that you are prepared to welcome potential buyers. - We will provide a table and two chairs. Keep in mind that given the time of year and the time of day, it may be hot. You may want to bring a canopy to provide comfort and shade; a table cloth; and any other items that will provide comfort.
- There is a $50 minimum donation request to the Black Resource Center to participate
- A vendor map and booth number will be provided in a follow up email after confirmation of your participation.
- If you need a power supply please let us know.
- All spaces are outdoors and will be a minimum of 10x10. If you need a larger space, please let us know.
