Description: Guest Services Assistants (GSAs) are an integral part of the Office of Housing Administration (OHA) and Residential Education Office (REO) program at San Diego State University. The purpose of this position is to assist with the day-to-day operations of Housing meeting spaces. The responsibilities consist of, but not limited to, the following: being an on-site staff member for events, moving, setting up, storing, and inventory of room furnishings. This position involves night and weekend work with the expectation to be flexible and work successfully with change.

Position Responsibilities:
Events and Meeting Space Duties:

Residential Education Front Desk Assistant/Security Monitor (On-Campus)

Desk Assistants/Security Monitors (DA/SMs) work at the Front Desks of each of our residence halls. DA/SMs are the front line of safety and security in the residence halls and complete a number of various tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to: providing excellent customer service to students/parents/guests; checking identification of those entering the building; confronting and/or reporting situations (ex. trespassers, alcohol, etc) to on-duty staff; general office tasks (filing, answering phone calls, using computer and appropriate software); serving as a general resource for students/parents/guests.
