HSI Artist In Residence Program (Arts Alive)

 

The Office of HSI Affairs worked collaboratively with the Arts Alive community to support the hiring of the SDSU Artist in residence for the 2022-2023 academic year. The selected Artist in Residence for the 2022–2023 academic year is Herbert Siguenza. Working with Arts Alive SDSU, the Artist in Residence will be required to 1) deliver a public artist talk at the University; 2) meet weekly with different academic units and student centers in critical dialogue about arts activism, identity, and diversity, especially as they relate to Latinx populations; 3) participate in a university panel discussion with selected faculty, staff, students, and/or community members; and 4) design and produce a performance event on campus that embodies themes of social justice.
