As graduate students, you're producing valuable research that deserves to be seen, understood, and appreciated beyond academic circles. But how can you break through? One powerful answer: social media. With over 60% of the global population using social platforms, there’s never been a better time to take your research public (Chaffey). This workshop will explore how graduate students can use social media not only to make complex ideas more accessible, but also to expand their professional networks, establish their scholarly identity, and engage in meaningful public discourse. Social media isn’t just for sharing—it’s for shaping how your research is perceived and where it goes next. “Publish or perish” doesn’t have to be the whole story. Let’s talk about how to build visibility, credibility, and community in the digital age.
