The International Affairs Complex

The International Affairs Complex (IAC) advances San Diego State University as a global learning community by serving as a crossroads for students from around the world seeking educational opportunities at SDSU, and for SDSU students seeking educational opportunities in other countries.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships provides information and counseling so that you can make informed choices as you and your family plan for meeting the costs associated with attending San Diego State University. We also provide outreach and access services in collaboration with other university departments and the community.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

National Alliance on Mental Illness

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) provides a number of useful educational resources for family members and caregivers supporting someone with mental illness, students managing a mental health condition during college, and how to help a friend you are concerned about.

Student Health Services (SHS) brings together a multidisciplinary team of qualified, professional staff specifically dedicated to working with students. Medical staff include board-certified physicians and licensed nurse practitioners. Complementing general medical services is a clinical support staff of registered and licensed vocational nurses, laboratory and X-ray technologists, medical assistants, pharmacists, a dentist, optometrist, and other support staff.

The University Police Department (UPD) provides policing services to San Diego State University. UPD deploys officers on foot, bicycles, and patrol vehicles. Our detectives work quickly to resolve cases and connect victims/survivors with resources. We pride ourselves on the strength of our working relationships with our community. UPD embodies the principles of community policing. In other words, working collaboratively with our community in order to prevent and solve crime, while building trust and legitimacy.

Duress Phones - These emergency "blue light" phones are located throughout campus. With the push of a button, they give you immediate access to the University Police Department communication center.

Sexual Misconduct Response and Prevention (Title IX)

San Diego State University does not discriminate on the basis of sex, gender, or sexual orientation in its education programs or activities. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and certain other federal and state laws, prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, or sexual orientation in employment, as well as all education programs and activities operated by the University (both on and off campus), and protect all people regardless of their gender or gender identity from sex discrimination, which includes sexual harassment and sexual violence.

Center for Community Solutions (CCS) is San Diego County's domestic violence and sexual assault emergency response agency. Crisis intervention services include but are not limited to; counseling, transitional housing, domestic violence victim advocacy, sexual assault victim advocacy, and legal services.

1in6 Online Support Group for Men

These weekly chat-based support groups for adult male survivors are free, anonymous, and confidential. Each group is facilitated by a professional counselor and a trained moderator, who provide a safe space to discuss issues related to the effects of and recovery from unwanted or abusive sexual experiences.

Associated Students

Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities

The Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities is responsible for acting on behalf of the University president regarding all aspects of student discipline. The office receives reports of alleged student misconduct and investigates complaints in order to determine whether University disciplinary action is to be pursued. Campus related violations include both academic and non-academic misconduct, misconduct in the off-campus surrounding community, off-campus community-sponsored events, and online sites.

In support of the mission of San Diego State University, the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities educates campus community members about the Student Code of Conduct and assists in the development of students as good citizens.
