Frequently Asked Questions
All undocumented students can attend college and receive private or institutional scholarship—even if they don’t meet eligibility for AB 540/SB 68 or the California Dream Act.
Apply for CA DREAM Act (CADA) and Scholarships! Do not let your immigration status discourage you, there are plenty of opportunities out there for DREAMers and undocumented students. We suggest you apply to the CA DREAM Act and as many scholarships as possible; the more you apply, the better your chances of being awarded money to pay for your education.
Unfortunately, those who do not meet AB 540 criteria will not be exempted from nonresident tuition. Students will not get kicked out but will have to find alternative ways to pay for tuition to help pay their costs. Click on the Paying for College tab to the left for a list of safe websites to apply for scholarships
