About the BRC Academic Advisor
Brionna Jones commonly referred to as “Coach Bri” is an Atlanta native who has recently moved to the San Diego area. She currently serves as BRC Advisor and SDSU Diamonds Coach. She obtained her Bachelor’s of science in Biology at Miles College (HBCU) in Birmingham, Alabama in 2014. In 2020, she earned her Masters of Education at Fort Hays State University in Kansas.
Mrs. Jones has been working in higher education for nearly six years. She began as the Program Director for the First Year Enrichment program at Miles College. While there, she constructed research for the SACS accreditation for the department of strategic initiatives, implemented programming to align with the annual campaigns and published work for the National Honors Society for Southern Colleges and Universities. A few years later, she became an Academic advisor at Georgia State University. Now, in her current role as BRC Advisor, she assists students with academic concerns, student organizations with programming and collaborative campus efforts. She is dedicated to supporting students with maintaining academic, professional and programmatic standards. In the words of Coach Bri, “You got this! And I got you!”
